We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling personal information responsibly.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you interact with our websites vebar.com, portal.vebar.com — including our SMS Safety Alert Notifications program (transactional SMS alerts for forklift & Industrial Vehicle safety events).

  1. Information We Collect
We collect personal information only when you voluntarily provide it (e.g., through contact forms, orders, account setup, or portal configuration):
  • Contact details (name, email, phone number, address).
  • Mobile phone numbers (for SMS alerts, added by your company’s authorized administrator).
  • Business-related data (forklift ID, site/location, incident details for alerts).
  • Verification/interaction data (e.g., codes, timestamps).

This is strictly enterprise B2B — information relates to customer employees/supervisors, not the general public.

  1. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely for legitimate business purposes:
  • To provide products, services, support, and information about our offerings.
  • To send transactional-only  SMS alerts for critical forklift events (e.g., high-energy impacts, accidents) to enable rapid response and safety compliance (e.g., OSHA).
  • For one-time phone verification codes and signup confirmations.
  • To respond to inquiries, HELP / STOP requests, or legal obligations.

We do not send promotional or marketing messages. SMS usage is event-triggered, and essential for workplace safety.

  1. Sharing and Disclosure of Information
We hold your privacy in the highest regard and will not sell, distribute, lease, or share your personal information (including mobile numbers) with third parties unless:
  • We have your explicit permission.
  • It is required by law (e.g., court order).
  • It is necessary to deliver services (e.g., with carriers, AWS as our platform provider, or trusted processors bound by confidentiality).

We maintain a strict company Non-disclosure Policy prohibiting distribution of customer contact information outside Vebar USA LLC, its subsidiaries, dealers, or authorized personnel. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes.

Security measures include firewalls, access controls, and limits to authorized personnel only.

4. Consent, Opt-In, and Opt-Out (SMS-Specific)

  • Opt-In: Phone numbers are added/verified administratively by your company’s fleet/safety manager, or by Fleet supervisors in the Vebar portal as part of internal safety protocols. Consent aligns with employment responsibilities.
  • Opt-Out: Reply STOP to unsubscribe from SMS.
  • Reply HELP for support.
  • Message & Data Rates: Message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier.
  1. GDPR Compliance – Applicable Only to European Customers
This section applies only to individuals in the EU/EEA whose data is processed in a GDPR-triggering manner.
  • Legal Basis: Processing is based on legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for workplace safety and incident response, after a balancing assessment.
  • Data Controller: Vebar EU (Belgium) for EU data; Vebar USA, LLC (US) may act as joint controller/processor.
